We stand at an historic crossroads, poised to shape the future through the outcome of the November election. Now more than ever we need to inspire and mobilize voters to come out to the polls this year. One Fair Wage and Black Voters Matter are working together this election cycle at the intersection of economic justice and voter outreach. We are elevating the issue that has been prioritized in poll after poll this election year: the cost of living and low wages are the top issues for voters of color and youth in 2024.

Black Voters Matter is dedicated to expanding Black voter engagement and increasing progressive power through movement-building and engagement. Working with grassroots organizations, specifically in key states in the South, BVM seeks to increase voter registration and turnout, advocate for policies to expand voting rights/access, and help develop infrastructure where little or none exists to support a power-building movement that keeps Black voters and their issues at the forefront of our election process. One Fair Wage is a national organization of service workers and ‘high road’ restaurant owners committed to raising wages and ending subminimum wages across the United States. Through policy advocacy, voter engagement, and organizing efforts, OFW works tirelessly to lift millions of service and subminimum wage workers out of poverty, improve working conditions, and mobilize these workers to vote on issues that directly impact their lives.One Fair Wage won big in Chicago last year by raising the minimum wage to $15/hr and ending the subminimum wage for tipped workers so that they can make $15 + tips.
